I seriously have the best husband ever. He may be Law Enforcement and Military, but he was a chicken when it came to me. If it were not for a college friend, I don't know if he would have asked me out. Long story. Could be blog fodder. I wonder who reads my blog. I don't think he would have because summer was coming and I was moving home.
He puts up with some weird things. Tonight I can't sleep......... again. This is why I thought of this subject. I sleep with socks on every night. I haven't always. But for the last few years wrinkles really really bug me. Either bed sheets have gotten baggy, or it is a recent irritation. I used to wake him up so we could tug the sheets tighter. He would drag out of bed. Not really sure of what we were doing and why I would wake him up to make the bed. But he did it anyway. He prefers that I sleep with socks on because I don't feel the wrinkles. It's not just baggy sheet wrinkles. It is the wrinkles when you sleep in the bed, too. The socks just solve a huge, roll the groggy hubby out of bed thing. But then, if my feet are to hot the door has to be open and the fan on. Then my arms get cold ......................... Nope. I'm not a high maintenance girl. In the usual way that they are thought of being.
I also have a sore throat and tried to spray throat spray on it in the dark. I felt around for the hole, thought I found it,opened my mouth and sprayed. Right into my ear, down my neck and in my hair. I'm already a bit miffed that I'm not sleeping. So, I decided that it is going to be a long night. I got out of bed, used a wash cloth to remove most of the numbing spray. The feeling in my ear will come back. I guess maybe I'll take the spray in the bathroom so the hole is visible. Being a bit under the weather isn't fun. Therefore, there has to be some humor somewhere. I just prefer to watch it happen to other people. And Steve is in there just sleeping. At least he doesn't snore very often.

Oh man, sorry you're feeling under the weather! I'm in pain right now so in case misery loves company, let's partayyY!
that's funny about the numbing spray in your ear. Sorry...it just is. lol
hahaha! funny! Ok I must confess!!! I have worn socks to bed every night since - since I think my first son was born - 14 1/2 yrs ago. Not only do wrinkles bug me - but the quality of the sheets... I finally found some 950 thread-count, egyptian cotton sheets at TJMaxx for like $50!!! What a deal (usually almost $200!!!). I love the high thread count - but still wear the socks. Oh - and I wake up through-out the night to "turn" my pillow - that's right. Turn the pillow...hahaha - now I gotta go blog about this...thanks for the "trigger" - hahaha!
Chopin's nocturnes. That what I play when I can't sleep. That or I put in my wife's BBC edition of Jane Austen's "Pride & Prejudice". Don't know what it is about Austen adapted media...zzzzzZZZZZZ
I also sleep on top of the covers until winter. Drives my wife crazy, but I get hot feet too.
I can't sleep either. Makes me crazy. Hope you feel better!
that's funny that you are so sensitive to the wrinkles in your bed. LOL-I've tried wearing socks to bed before and I CAN'T! Somewhere in my sleep I end up ripping them off because they are so irritating. I'll bet you have really soft feet.
Dude- that was great. I just thinking, "I need a laugh. At someone else's expense. Preferrably someone feeling under the weather."
